ITR Filing Last Date 2026: Taxpayers required to get their accounts audited under the Income-tax Act, 1961, have received additional time to complete their tax compliance for Assessment Year 2026-27. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), on September 28, extended the deadline for furnishing tax audit reports from September 30 to October 21, 2026.

The due date for filing income tax returns for the specified audit category has also been extended from October 31 to November 21, 2026. The extensions provide taxpayers an additional 21 days to furnish their audit reports and file their income tax returns.
